BOX SCREENS
What is a Box Screen?
A Box Screen is a 3 sided "box" frame that has a Shaker Screen mounted above it. It differs from our other screening plants because instead of a hopper & feeder mechanism the material is loaded directly onto the screen panel on the high side of the unit. The material is spread across the screen face by the vibration of a weighted shaft and bounces down the length of the screen panel. Fines material passes through the screen panel and is collected in the "box" underneath while the larger material tumbles off the low end of the screen. The loader bucket is used periodically to scoop fines out of the collection box and move them to a storage pile. A sturdy, simple machine that gives you the screening essentials for a small investment.
